Booking terms
Simple, transparent rules designed to protect your appointment, preparation time and service quality.
Request and confirmation
A message, form or availability enquiry does not automatically hold a date. A booking is final only after written confirmation from Makeup by Ornella and, where stated, receipt of the deposit.
The client checks the date, time, location, number of people and services shown in the confirmation.
Deposit and payment
Weddings, groups and services requiring several professionals require a 30% deposit. It is deducted from the total and is non-refundable if the client cancels.
The balance is due no later than the service date using the agreed method. Added services or participants remain subject to availability and may change the quote.
Changes and cancellations
Individual non-bridal appointments must be changed or cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. With less than 48 hours, 50% may be charged; with less than 24 hours or a no-show, the full amount may be due.
For weddings and groups, the deposit is retained. Cancellation within 14 days makes 50% of the total due; within 7 days, the full amount is due. One rescheduling request made at least 14 days ahead may be accepted, subject to availability and within six months.
Timing and delays
The client must be ready at the agreed time with skin prepared as advised. Late arrival may shorten the service without reducing the price. After 20 minutes, the service may be adapted or cancelled if the result and subsequent appointments can no longer be protected.
Very early starts, on-site waiting or schedule changes may incur a supplement advised in advance.
Travel and access
Within Lausanne, the travel fee shown on the website or proposal applies. Outside Lausanne it is calculated according to the area, distance and journey. Necessary parking, toll or special access costs may be added.
The client provides the exact address, practical access, a clean workspace, a table, a suitable chair and sufficient light.
Weddings and groups
The quote is based on participant numbers, services, location and schedule. Reducing the group does not automatically reduce the amount once time or an additional professional has been reserved.
The trial defines the bride’s style, but the final result may vary with the skin, light, hairstyle and approved choices.
Health, allergies and hygiene
The client must disclose allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, treatments or known reactions before the appointment. Makeup by Ornella may adapt or decline a service where irritation, infection, injury or another condition could compromise hygiene or safety.
Products and tools are used according to professional hygiene protocols; however, an unforeseeable individual reaction cannot be fully excluded.
Inability to perform and force majeure
If illness, accident, transport disruption or another event outside Makeup by Ornella’s control occurs, a replacement or new date will be sought where possible. If the service cannot be performed, amounts paid for the unperformed part are refunded without further compensation.
Photographs
No identifiable photograph is published without consent. The client may freely accept or refuse image use. Consent may be withdrawn for future use, without retroactive effect on earlier publications.
Applicable law
These terms supplement the confirmation or quote. The most recent written agreement prevails in case of a difference. Swiss law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protections. The place of jurisdiction is Lausanne to the extent permitted by law.
By confirming a booking, the client acknowledges having read the terms applicable to the service.
